Making Healthy Changes 

Some of you may be aware of my dietary changes lately. It’s sad that I waited until a doctor suggested to me that I might feel better if I made some changes but hey, better late than dying early. Right? While I had been dairy free for awhile, the gluten free was a bit challenging but I’m getting it. Today for lunch I enjoyed pasta made with corn and rice!? Delicious actually. I’ve never really been a big meat eater (once or twice a week) but now I am finding a move to become vegetarian isn’t as difficult as I thought it would be.

There is a lot of routine in life. The more we do something the more natural and comfortable it becomes. Eating dairy products like cheese, sour cream, and ice cream were once very natural for me. But here’s the thing, we need to be careful about doing something just because it’s familiar. That’s how people find themselves in a rut or worse, unhappy with the direction their lives are heading. On the advice of family I decided to see a naturopath and find out how I might be able to heal my chronic illness holistically. I can honestly say I have never felt better, more intuitive, or had clearer thinking since I eliminated dairy products from my diet. I am excited to see what these other changes will do for my well being. 

We are creative souls trying to live human lives. We have these bodies for a finite period of time. Listen to your soul and make sure you are creating a life you want.
