The spread I used for the 2017 reading was circular like a clock where 1 o’clock is January, 2 o’clock is February, and so on ending with 12 o’clock, which is December. Then I also drew the 13th card and placed it in the center representing overall feelings and thoughts about 2017. This is what the Angels shared with me.
For January 10-The Wheel shows up with Archangel Michael leading us into 2017. What a fantastic start as The Wheel represents positive changes and beneficial opportunities. January is a time when we can feel confident about starting new projects. (However, you should note that it is prudent to wait until after the Mercury Retrograde is complete on January 8). Archangel Michael is positioned inside a wheel of the zodiac reminding us that change is the one constant we can count on. Archangel Michael is a protector and helps with life purpose issues. If you feel you need help making a strategic change in your life purpose, call upon Archangel Michael for assistance.
For February the card is 18-The Moon. Archangel Haniel is associated with the full moon, intuition, and clairvoyance. February will be a time to go within and focus on any dreams or visions that seem to keep recurring. These are signs from the angelic realm and should be taken seriously. Intuition is always present but sometimes we allow Ego to fill us with fear or insecurities. Rather than giving Ego that much power, go within and know that truth will be revealed. February is a good time to focus on balance. In the card, you can see a wolf on one side and a dog on the other. These represent both the wild and the domestic; the conscious and the subconscious.
For March the card is Nine of Water. The suit of water represents our emotions, love, relationships, family, romance, and dreams. Nine cards reflect extremes and can feel like completion but are more like a resting place or the calm before the storm. Nine of Water indicates there may be some carryover from February as our intuition and psychic nature are also heightened. Whatever we focused on in February comes true in March. Nine of Water represents joy and dreams come true. March 20th marks the Spring Equinox, new beginnings, and fresh starts. This could be a month of marriage proposals or new children through birth or adoption. Be aware of job offers, and new homes as well.
For April the card is King of Earth. Earth cards represent our material world. This includes our home, our livelihood, making money, taking care of our bodies, and taking care of our planet. King cards generally represent authority or people who wield power. King of Earth represents success in these areas of life. April will herald a great time for prosperity. The rainbow in the sky represents good luck and abundance. Remember, abundance is best shared through donations to charities. The king shares with others less fortunate and is also an environmentalist, making sure Mother Earth is cared for.
For May the card is Nine of Fire. This is the second nine for the year and again can represent extremes. The suit of fire represents ideas and inspirations we are passionate about. Fire cards correspond to creativity, adventure, risk-taking and self-development. In May there may be a situation where we must protect what we have created. May is a time to be brave and courageous. Be proud of and willing to protect your accomplishments. That which has been manifested through dreams, intuition and hard work must be protected whether it be money, as indicated in the pot of gold or metaphorically as something else we are passionate about and value highly.
For June the card is Queen of Air. Air cards represent our intellect, our ability to analyze and make decisions. Air cards are also aligned with justice, truth, and communication. Queen cards represent nurturing and support. The Queen of Air signifies freedom from clutter and drama. Notice the concentration that the queen has as she focuses on the unicorn in the crystal ball. Her intentions are very clear and very pure. Rather than using the passion from her heart (which would correspond to a fire card), the queen is using passion from her intellect or her mind to manifest the unicorn. May is a good time to clear away anything (or anyone) that does not serve your highest and greatest good. The Queen of Air has seen it all and can provide good counsel.
For July the card is the Nine of Air. Staying in the intellect, we must be careful where we place our thoughts. We are very powerful beings and can create self-fulfilling prophecies. Remember in July (and always) to focus on what you want and not what you fear. You can see there are eight unicorns sleeping while the one unicorn appears to be standing guard and watching over the others. This symbolizes fear. The one unicorn awake is fearful something bad will happen and so is watching guard over the others. Fear can lead to sleeplessness, insomnia, unhappy dreams or illness, all caused by stress. Think happy thoughts. As the third nine card of the year, the angels are reminding us that we are in control of our lives. We can get caught up in extremes between optimism and pessimism. Make sure you focus your thoughts on what you want and not what you do not want or what you fear.
For August the card is 5-Unity. At the height of summer, we are reminded to work collaboratively with others. Life is a journey to be shared and experienced with others. August will be a time to expand your circle of friends and perhaps join new clubs or community outreach groups. Find like-minded souls who can assist you in developing your spiritual gifts. This can be accomplished in groups or with a single mentor or guru. Family vacations and backyard barbecues are in store for August. August is also a time to question the things you do and make sure you are following your purpose.
For September the card is Two of Fire, taking us back to our passions. If in August we worked with a mentor and found ourselves collaborating with others or sharing and participating in group activities, then growth will have occurred and in September there will be a personal awakening. Two cards often indicate friendships and partnerships between two people. The Two of Fire is focused more on a business relationship. In September, passions will be pursued as we move forward confidently. Do not allow others to slow you down; surround yourself with only those who support your purpose and you will be rewarded.
For October the card is Ten of Air. Ten of Air indicates endings. October looks to be a challenging month. Tens signify endings. The good news is that all endings are followed by new beginnings. Whether the ending is something you have wanted or not, it can bring about feelings of confusion and sadness. Allow yourself to feel sad and grieve, whether it be a relationship, a job, or any other long-term situation. Don’t try to hold onto things and people that no longer serve you. Allow Universe to lead you by letting go and letting Spirit guide your moves. Keep in mind that even though you may be able to let go there could be others surrounding the issue who want to engage in drama. Give them space to do so, but be careful not to get consumed by their drama.
For November the card is 16-Life Experience. This is a good card to follow Ten of Air. If you are successful in letting go in October, November is a wake-up call to make room for change. This change might reveal itself in a new revelation or something that you have been procrastinating on and November is the time to take life by the reins. An action is required and once you take action, you will experience freedom and awakening. Change can be good as in graduating from college, getting married, or having children. November will show you where you are in life versus where you would like to be.
For December the card is 17-The Star. This is a natural progression on the Dreamer’s path. 2017 will end with hope and happy expectations. With a new vision of where you want to be, you are able to make longer-term plans for your future. Your purpose is clear and you can confidently step into it. By December it is time to let go of the past and rest in the spiritual work you have done as you release Ego and set off on a path of prosperity and freedom. This is a perfect card to end any year as it represents clarity and expectation. Follow your intuition.
The final card for 2017 I placed in the middle and it is 9-The Hermit. 2017 is going to be a year of self-discovery. The Hermit reminds us that the answers are often found within. In quiet meditation, we are able to hear that inner voice that knows our purpose and direction. You may have heard the saying, “Praying is talking to God and meditation is listening to God,” well that fits perfectly for 2017 and The Hermit. If you are unable to sit in the stillness or can’t seem to “hear” the small voice, you may need to solicit the help of a spiritual teacher or guru. You might benefit from some spiritual training and courses. Another possibility found in The Hermit is that it may be time for you to take your training to the next level and become that spiritual mentor others seek. It might be time to share your wisdom and experience with others.
What a full year 2017 is going to be. Blessings to everyone as we all embark on a new year. May it be a great year with continued growth, spiritual blessings, and much prosperity.
