This is your weekly tarot for the week starting June 18, 2018. I felt led to draw cards from the Shadowscapes deck created by Stephanie Pui-Mun Law and Barbara Moore.
For Monday/Tuesday, June 18-19, the card is 13–Death reversed. The first card is the most feared of all cards. It may also be the most misunderstood card in the tarot deck. While many fear death, it is unavoidable, it is also a major transition and period of transformation. In fact, that is the meaning behind the Death card–transformation. The phoenix rises and is transformed. Because the card is reversed, this transformation will not come easily. There may be the “dark night of the soul” kind of transformation occurring early in the week. Letting go of the past is challenging but necessary for growth. When Death is reversed it indicates stagnation. Where are you refusing to let go of? What fears are holding you back? Change is coming and is unavoidable. It is a good time to learn to jump into the river of life and go with the flow. It may also indicate that the card is not for you but for a close loved one. How can you help someone close to you learn to let go and embrace change? This is your task for the beginning of the week.
For Wednesday/Thursday, June 20-21, the card is the Nine of Wands reversed. Wands represent the things we are passionate about. The Nine of Wands is a reminder to stay the course and not give up. It is a sign to protect that which you have worked so hard to create. Believe in yourself. Because it is reversed, it indicates there could be a struggle as you hold on to your beliefs. You may encounter adversity. Make sure to stay balanced so that you can mentally and physically protect what is important to you. Do not allow yourself to get run down or you may find yourself ill and then it is much harder to find the strength to stay the course.
For the weekend, Friday/Saturday/Sunday, June 22-24, the card is 11-Justice. Justice is the second major arcana card of the week and it is a repeat of the Nine of Wands but on a larger scale. It is a reminder to stay balanced and find harmony. Look at situations from all angles before making a decision. This is a reminder to meditate on what you want. Justice is on your side and you will be triumphant. Any legal battles you may be going through will play out positively in your favor. When the Justice card appears upright, it is almost impossible for you to make a wrong decision. It is a good time for contracts in legal matters, marriage, or other contracts in general.
The other thing happening this week is the Summer Solstice on June 21; the longest day of the year. It looks like the week will begin on a more challenging note, but will certainly end positively. Be aware of endings and transitions; stay balanced and positive; and then reap the rewards you have earned.
Peace and love,
