Happy New Moon in Virgo! This is your weekly tarot for the week starting September 10, 2018. This week the tarot deck is the Wildwood Tarot. As always, I have meditated on the week ahead and asked what it is we all might want to focus on for the week ahead. Then I pulled three cards as shown below. Be sure to take a moment to view each card and note the thoughts and feelings as you view each card. Then continue with the reading.
The first card for Monday/Tuesday, September 10-11 is the Seven of Bows reversed. This corresponds to the suit of wands in traditional tarot and is associated with the element of fire (passion). The image is a clear one of bows being made with the tools handy and a fire to burn the discarded shavings. The worn bow on the ground has served its purpose and change requires that new bows be made. Change is something that all of us tend to resist in spite of the fact that it is the one constant we can count on. Early in the week, be aware of decisions that must be made. Remember that indecision is a decision. Although it may not be the kind of decision you want. Avoid embarrassment, anxiety or confusion and make a decision. What are you passionate about? What are your goals in life? What is it you really want from this life? How are your decisions guiding you toward those goals? Once your focus is clear, you will more clearly see the changes that need to take place.
For the middle of the week, Wednesday/Thursday, September 12-13, the card is 17-The Pole Star. We move from the more everyday challenges found in the minor arcana to the bigger aspects of our lives as shown in the major arcana. The Pole Star shows someone walking through nature guided by bright stars in the sky. We are all divinely guided if we but pay attention. The bright white light symbolizes the Divine, Universal law, higher spiritual knowledge, and love. This is a reminder to take time to focus on your spiritual health and your physical well-being. It is a time to be contemplative, meditative, and creative. You have gifts to offer others. Pay attention to your dreams, your intuition, and your imagination during the middle of the week. Possibilities can become realities.
For the weekend, Friday/Saturday/Sunday, September 14-16, the card is Ace of Arrows reversed. This corresponds with the suit of swords in traditional tarot and is associated with the element of air (intellect). Although it may be unclear, the picture on this card is of the Uffington White Horse. There is a legend that says if you stand in the eye of the Uffington White Horse and make a wish, it will come true. This symbolizes new possibilities. Aces are beginnings. Because the card is reversed it is a warning that there may be challenges in the new beginnings. Before a new beginning can take place, there must be an ending. There might be pain or obstacles that try to steer you from your new beginning. Do not allow doubt to take over. Be mindful, stay focused, and follow your heart.
That is the weekly tarot reading. Also during this week, there is the 9/11 remembrance in the United States. From 9/9 to 9/11 there is the Jewish celebration of Rosh Hashanah. Astrologically, we just celebrated the new moon on 9/9. For the coming week we have a waxing crescent from 9/10-9/15, and the first quarter moon on 9/16.
Keep your thoughts positive because what you think, you create.
Peace and love,
