Hello everyone. This is your weekly tarot reading for the week starting Monday, September 17, 2018. We just had the first quarter moon yesterday meaning the moon is now one-quarter of the way in its orbit around Earth. If you set new intentions and goals during the new moon, this is the time when you might begin to experience challenges or obstacles. Keep your goals in mind as you make decisions or take actions toward reaching those goals.
This week I felt we all could use a little advice from the angels and used the Angel Tarot deck by Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine. This is the first deck of tarot I started using and believe if you are interested in starting down the path of using the tarot to help in your life, this is a good deck to start with. Note there are typically no reversed cards when using the Angel Tarot. I meditated and asked the angels what it is we all might need to know, be aware of, or focus on, during this last week of summer. The cards are shown below. Please consider your own question first and review the cards and make note of anything that stands out to you. Then read on. First, the cards for the week are:
For Monday/Tuesday, September 17-18, the card is Four of Fire. The suit of fire represents passion, excitement, and creativity. In traditional tarot, this would be the suit of wands. The number four represents structure, balance, discipline, and order. The four wands of fire, as shown on the card, form a square similar to the four legs of a table symbolizing structure and balance. The dragon appearing in the middle is showing that the fruits of your labor are coming to fruition. Your creative endeavors, artistic abilities, and hard work are paying off. It is time to stop for a moment and celebrate. Count the many blessings in your life–those in the home, in your relationships, or at the office. The more you are grateful for, the more you have to be grateful for.
For Wednesday/Thursday, September 19-20, the card is 21–The World. This is a good card to follow the Four of Fire, as it represents the end of the Dreamer’s journey. As a reminder, the major arcana reflect the bigger things in our lives while the minor arcana reflect the more everyday aspects of our lives. So while the Four of Fire represents some accomplishment in your everyday life, the 21–The World symbolizes a major accomplishment. It signifies that the Dreamer has completed a long and challenging journey and has accomplished physical, emotional, and spiritual growth along the way. Archangel Michael stands inside the laurel surrounded by the four elements. As the laurel is placed upon champions, you too are a champion. Give yourself a big pat on the back and then begin preparing for the next big journey.
For the weekend, Friday/Saturday/Sunday, September 21-23, the card is the King of Water. The suit of water represents emotions or the deeper feelings we have as we move through life. In traditional tarot, this suit is represented by the suit of cups. Kings represent authority figures. We have had a lot of kings appear in the readings for the past month. It seems there is a lot of attention being placed on charismatic authority figures. The King of Water is someone you can trust with your deeper thoughts, dreams, or aspirations. Look for peace and balance. The king could appear in your life as a religious, skilled, or artistic person. When you encounter the King of Water, listen to the kind and compassionate advise given.
That is it for the week. Friday, September 21 is the International Day of Peace and the Autumn Equinox is on Saturday, September 22. Enjoy this last week of summer.
Peace and love,
